Read, Received and FiledNow Therefore, I WILLIAM PEDUTO, by the virtue of the authority vested in my by the Home Rule Charter of the City of Pittsburgh and laws of the City of Pittsburgh, hereby direct all of the following: 1. Effective as of 9:00 a.m., Monday March 16, 2020, there shall be no community or public gatherings in excess of 50 people and this amends my earlier Order that discouraged gatherings in excess of 250 people. 2. The City will request continuances of hearings before magisterial district justices for the enforcement of City Code citations issued by the Department of Permits, Licenses & Inspections, the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, and the Department of Public Works in furtherance of our compliance with the spirit of Governor Tom Wolf’s recommendations regarding social distancing to further prevent the spread of COVID-19. 3. The remainder of Executive Order No. 2020-01 shall remain in effect until rescinded. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately and remain in effect until amended or rescinded in writing by the Mayor.
