Read, Received and FiledNow Therefore, I WILLIAM PEDUTO, by the virtue of the authority vested in me by the Home Rule Charter of the City of Pittsburgh and laws of the City of Pittsburgh, hereby direct all of the following: 1. Effective as of 12:01 a.m. on June 5, 2020 and subject to applicable law including, but not limited to, rights granted under the First Amendment of the United States Constitution and the executive orders of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, it is the policy of the City of Pittsburgh to encourage postponement and cancellation of all community or public gatherings in excess of 250 people. Organizers of events are advised to consult guidelines of the CDC, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Health, and the Allegheny County Health Department before planning any event. 2. This Order rescinds Executive Orders 2020-001 and 2020-002. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately and remain in effect until amended or rescinded in writing by the Mayor.
