WHEREAS, the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (PMAHCC) is a regional advocate for Pittsburgh’s Hispanic business community’s civic and economic interests. Their mission is to develop, promote and advocate on behalf of Hispanic businesses and professionals and support educational opportunities for Hispanic students with scholarship funds; and, WHEREAS, each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America; and, WHEREAS, the celebration begins September 15 because it signifies the anniversary of independence for the Latin American countries of Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Costa Rica; and, WHEREAS, the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will be kicking off the celebration at Highmark Stadium on September 15, 2021, where there will be networking, enjoying food, beverages, the beautiful city view and music by Noel Quintana, also known as “Mr. Conga”; and,
