NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that we seek to recognize September as Suicide Prevention Month, elevate our local organizations reducing stigma around suicide and mental health and disparate outcomes for marginalized communities, and to develop and implement strategies to increase access to and the delivery of quality mental health, substance use, and suicide prevention crisis care and treatment and recovery services; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize September as “Suicide Prevention Month” in the City of Pittsburgh.
