BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh supports the effort to restore Alina Sheykhet’s name to the bill, honoring her memory and reaffirming the City’s commitment to confronting domestic violence; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Pittsburgh commits to working in partnership with Alina’s Light, domestic-violence service providers, and community stakeholders to support the effective implementation of Alina’s Law upon enactment, ensuring that every survivor in Pennsylvania has access to the protections needed to safeguard their lives and futures.
