Passed FinallyResolution authorizing The Mayor of the City of Pittsburgh and the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure to apply for grant funding from the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) Community Conservation Partnerships Program (C2P2) to provide funding for the acquisition of a stretch of rail line located between 24th - 33rd Streets in the Strip District from CSX Transportation through the railbanking process. In the event the grant is awarded, this resolution provides for an agreement and expenditures not to exceed FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($500,000.00) dollars for this stated purpose. This grant will be used in conjunction with capital funds to execute contracts. In the event that the city is awarded the grant, the total project cost is not to exceed ONE MILLION ($1,000,000) dollars.
